Established in 2013, Vectorex Construction Ltd is owned and managed by Jon Owen (Engineering Director) and Chris Jones (Operations Director).
With a turnover of £1.3 million (2018) and growing, the business now employs 15 full time colleagues at our Conwy headquarters, our secure plant store, and on-site at client schemes across north Wales and beyond. This figure is set to more than double into the 2020s, as we roll out investment in our new integrated headquarters, training and plant facility.
Vectorex specialises in large-scale civils and building projects, providing engineering and project management solutions to our clients across a range of specialisms (see Services section for more information). We bring sufficient capacity and capabilities to assume the role of Principal Contractor in major projects.
The track record of our senior team includes numerous high-profile structures, highways and infrastructure projects: Llanllyfni bypass, Manchester Metrolink, Wylfa nuclear power station, Severn Trent AMP 5 clean water infrastructure, Glan Clwyd hospital, Liverpool cruise liner floating dock facility, Rhyl Flats offshore windfarm, and many more.
Our business benefits from a trusted supply chain of materials providers and specialist sub-contractors, and this emphasis on building strong relationships is reflected in the way we work with our clients. Repeat business has been central to the organic growth of Vectorex, and our clients tell us it’s thanks to the professional, pragmatic and collaborative culture we bring to every project.
As we develop a programme of investment to take Vectorex into the 2020s, we aim to combine ambition with sustainability. We’re passionate believers in the relationship between the growth of our business and the prosperity of our local area; expanding our delivery capacity will benefit our people and our community, as well as the clients who trust us to deliver excellent results.
