Our commitment to health and safety
As a responsible and considerate constructor, the safety of Vectorex colleagues, all other workers, and the general public, is of prime importance to us.
We are a fully accredited member of the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS), the industry benchmark for health and safety compliance. As a full CHAS member, our clients can rest assured that our training, record keeping and compliance are of the highest standards, and in line with legislative, regulatory and insurance requirements. All of our site supervisors are Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) accredited.
Delivering best practice
Vectorex manages H&S within the framework of current legislation and guidance. We operate the HSE guidance (HSG65) and deliver based on the Plan, Do, Check, Act protocol, enabling us to achieve effective health and safety outcomes.
Company health and safety policy is written by the engineering director and reviewed on a six-monthly basis (or more frequently should the need arise). The policy provides clarity around our commitment to ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff and any who interface with us at a site level, as well as the systems by which this is managed.
As part of our commitment to constantly improving our processes, Vectorex is also working towards OHSAS18001 (Health & Safety) and ISO 9001 Quality Management accreditations.
